I thought I'd post this up here since it aligns with the Celtic culture / history in that Caiseal Mór's novels all tend to carry this theme.
I live not far from him and have recently been put on as his 'publicist' and so am spreading the word about this new release, and his back-catalogue.

True to form and reputation, Caiseal Mór returns after a brief sojourn to the Far Country with this incredible tale of the Holy Grail, the Knights Templar, Angels, Demons and Zephyrs and the true nature of our existence.

Set in the early thirteenth century in a forest province called Keak, the reader is launched into the tale riding on the back of a Templar Host who march to retrieve a certain holy relic of legend.

With the precision his fans have come to expect, Mór blurs the lines between documented history and fantastical events of his own design, weaving several strands into the loom to create a tapestry of rich personalities and warring intrigues. Beckoning to the reader with an irresistible clarion-call, one cannot help but share the author's enthusiasm and love for the tale he tells.

With the deftness of a master, Mór sets the pace like his character Ronan's drumming - measured and controlled in the beginning to draw the reader into a comfortable rhythm before changing beat and unleashing the torrent of imagination that takes hold and disallows the reader to put the book down.

I really enjoyed this read - I was engaged from the beginning because of the way Mór wrote about the Templars. As someone who is greatly interested in the Knights Templar and their history, I was quite shocked and then pleased with the way they were portrayed in the story.

That and the fascination many of us have had at one point in time, and that's with the Holy Grail. Countless books and movies have been composed around its mystery and yet Mór has still managed to take the Grail story and give it a completely new and refreshing angle - only a truly accomplished story teller can rework a story that's older than written history!

Lady of the Lamp is written in vivid, colourful prose and often had me exclaiming or laughing aloud. The detail with which Mór paints his world is more than enough to stir the imagination without burdening the reader with a Tolkein-esque marathon of descriptive metaphors.

Lady is simply another masterpiece in Mór's long line of best-sellers - this one is sure to join them.

Caiseal Mór is multi-talented author, musician and artist and is creator of several hugely popular best-selling novel series', including "The Circle and the Cross" (Wanderers Trilogy) and "The Well of Yearning" (Wellspring Trilogy). His inventive and unique work encompasses original art and music composed as companions to his literary works, which creates an amazing experience for the senses.
